virtual trade show
The 6Connex digital marketing platform enables organizations to hold virtual trade shows for up to hundreds of exhibitors. Booths vary in size and offer streaming videos of product demonstrations, customer education, and other information. Attendees click on the booth they want to visit, and then click on the screens they want to view.
Virtual trade shows

You can hold your own virtual trade shows that offer national or global reach.
Increasingly, exhibitors are encouraging virtual trade shows because they are cost efficient -- they don't have the expense of room, board and travel for staff, and they don't have to worry about their booth and promotional materials being shipped on time.  This gives you the opportunity to reach new exhibibitors who might not otherwise have the time or funds to try your traditional trade show.  Attendees with similar limitations on time and funds also benefit from an opportunity to attend your show.

Virtual trade shows will never replace traditional shows, and done properly, can strengthen your traditional show by driving more attendance and increasing the number of exhibitors.  They add value to your organization by providing another important touch point during the year for both attendees and exhibitors, and give you the opportunity to build a greater sense of community among your stakeholders.

Booths vary in size, with the larger booths offering more nodes for streaming videos, PDFs, and other programming that showcases their products and services.  Exhibitors can use the chat engine for live interaction with the trade show attendees.  The chat engine instantly translates 11 languages into each other, so, for example, the exhibitors can ask a question in English, which is received by attendees in French, Korean and German.  The attendees respond in their native tongues and the exhibitor receives the messages in English -- and the attendees receive the responses of each in their native language.  At any point they can chat with each other.

Each attendee has a virtual badge that can be "swiped" at the booth, which gives the exhibitor the opportunity to provide additional information and to follow-up after the event.  When they register for the trade show, each attendee is given a virtual show bag, which can be used to collect information from booths for later review.  All aspects of the attendee's virtual experience and the tools to which they have access are intuitive and easy to use.

Attendees have individual identies they use as they tour the show.  They can download an avatar from a menu, download their mug shot from their computer, or choose another identy, such as a corporate logo, piece of art, or other image.

Administering the trade shows requires no special skills -- if you can use Microsoft Word, you have the skills to operate the show.  For example, adding content to a booth is as simple as clicking on an attachment to an e-mail from an exhibitor and pasting it to the booth's folder.  Administrators can monitor individuals and remove them from the show if they are abusing chat or misbehaving, and have access to real time activity data that shows how many people are in the exhibit area, what booths they are visiting, how long they are staying, etc.  This data is also appreciated by the exhibitors.

The 6Connex digital marketing platform can handle any size show from 10 booths to hundreds of booths, and for the larger shows there are navigational aids to help attendees find what they are looking for, complete with floor layouts and exhibitor lists by type.

If you want to extend the value of your trade show, you can operate it live for a few days, and then leave if up in static form (no live interaction, but with information available at the booths) for several weeks or months after the event.
